National Taiwan Museum, as the birthplace of modern knowledge for people
here in the country, acknowledges the cultural multiplicity of contemporary society while working tirelessly to establish a modus operandi for the Taiwanese people in their explorative learning of the cultural and ethnic
diversity of Southeast Asia. By consociating the century-old artifacts from Southeast Asia with Southeast Asian minorities currently living in Taiwan (“Collections make Connections”), the NTM collaborates with Southeast
Asian migrants – with art collection as the core – and tells a story about an encounter that transcends regional cultural divides.
